JCBL, the largest bus body builder in the country and holding a market share of 40 per cent in the organised sector, has announced the launch of its latest offering 'JCBL Integral Coach 6113' in Chennai in a bid to lure the market in the south. The new offering will cater to the needs of the high and luxury segment.
The philosophy of the company is to provide mobility solutions of world standards, keeping in line with the stringent quality standards like ISO 9001 & TS 16949, its director Rishi Agarwal said in Chennai during the launch. JCBL has a strong customer base comprising leading OEMs and prime fleet operators in the country, he said, adding that with a vision to maintain its leadership in the market the company is working towards achieving a 50 per cent market share in the organised sector in the current fiscal year 2004-2005.
Rishi Aggarwal said, "With this introduction, the JCBL has a complete range of products for its customers ranging frorn the economy buses to the super luxury integral coach. The Indian market today is mature enough to accept this super luxury coach because of the infrastructure development like the golden quadrilaterals and North-South & East-West corridors under construction."
This high-end luxury coach offers superior luxury along with the global standard design, exceptional performance and enhanced safety. With an overall length of 11.3 metre, the coach is striking to look at with aerodynamic contours and aesthetically conceived clean lines. The coach has been designed to make long-distance journeys more relaxing, and it offers ergonomically designed reclining seats with adjustable pitch, excellent air-conditioning and reduced noise levels, Agarwal said.
It costs Rs 48 lakh each. The chassis (from King Long, China) and other parts have been imported while the Indian-end takes care of the assembling process.
"The JCBL Integral Coach 6113 boasts of a seating capacity of 45+1+1 (passengers + driver + co-driver), with seats that have a reclining backrest. The environment friendly (Euro-2) Cummins C Series 245 HP, UK-make engine with a unique anti-lock braking system and a reliable exhaust break technology makes the driving easy and secure. Even at high speed of 115 km/hr or on bad roads, the coach runs steadily with pressure mounted rim and tubeless tyres. The passengers can enjoy an uninterrupted long-distance journey in the JCBL Integral Coach 6113 due to its unmatched fuel capacity of 300L," Agarwal said.
Started in 1991 with a turnover of Rs 1.70 crore, the company hopes to reach a turnover of Rs 110 crore in 2005, Agarwal said, adding that the south is a major market for the company. Already, there is keen interest in the product in the south, he added.
