Garbage
Free Year
Honorable Mayor of Chennai, Mr. M K Stalin, in his
efforts to make Chennai as Singaara Chennai, has announced that this year will be observed
as "Garbage Free Year" by the Corporation. Chennai Corporation has also
increased its capacity of garbage removal from 2500 tons to 3100 tons per day.
Pagers have been issued to the supervisors who look after
garbage removal. People can page these supervisors and complain about non removal of
garbage in their area. On receiving the complaints, the supervisors will ensure the
removal of garbage in the next 24 hours. If, even after complaining, the garbage is not
removed, public can register their complaints with Complaints Section in the Chennai
Corporation Office: 5384510, 5384670.
