Brighten your day with refreshing tips

Style

Before applying lipstick put on chapstick; dab it with a tissue and apply your lipstick.

Out of eye make up remover? Just use baby oil. When applying eyeliner start the stroke from outside and then stroke inward toward your nose.

Tired and sleepy eyes? Put a slice of cucumber on each eye or soak a washcloth in warm water and place it on your eyes for about 10-15 minutes.

Dark circles: Remember you are supposed to get about 8 hours of sleep at night! 

Cut dry cuticles by giving them a 20 minute soak in warm olive oil. To give your nails a neat design after you have painted them and they have begun to dry, take a sewing pin and draw lines, dots or even little pictures on them. 

To get rid of dandruff, mix half a cap full of listerine with your regular shampoo once a week. To manage straggly hair, use a dab of olive oil on the ends before shampooing.

To get chlorine out of your hair after a swim, dissolve two alka-seltzer tablets in water, and pour over your hair, then rinse.

To brighten your hair, after shampooing, comb strawberry yogurt through your hair, then rinse or apply lemon juice (use a spray bottle) then sit out in the sun for an hour and rinse. To darken your hair, apply vinegar and blow dry and rinse. 

Run out of conditioner? Use a table spoon of mayonnaise instead. Rinse well!

When washing your face, wash and rinse with warm/hot water and then rinse again with cold water. Warm water opens your pores letting the soap, face wash, etc. get into the pores to clean out oil and dirt. Cold water on the other hand closes your pores, thus eliminating the percent of dirt that would get into your pores while using warm water.
