New wireless Broadband router launched Technology

Micronet, a global producer & supplier of pioneering networking products, has announced its new SP916GK wireless broadband router.

Micronet SP916GK wireless Broadband router is the latest generation of wireless router products for home/office and SOHO users. This device has been specifically designed to provide LAN and wireless users the most cost-effective solution with multiple accesses to the Internet.

SP916GK enables multiple users to share the Internet through a single ADSL or cable modem. It has embedded DHCP server and simplified IP address management function. In addition, NAT/firewall is also implemented on this compact router box for shielding the entire LAN from external attack.

The key features of the new SP916GK are compliant with IEEE 802.11g wireless LAN for data rate up to 54M and provide wireless LAN of 4 built-in 10/100M LAN ports.

It allows easy network connection with URL filter to prevent users from accessing improper websites. Advanced firewall features dedicated to protect your system from intruders and unauthorised access with robust wireless security of WEP, WPA, WPA2 and AES 802.1x. These benefits expand wireless signal coverage with other access points via its user-friendly management interface for easy set-up.

Other specifications include a WAN port (10/100M RJ-45) and 4 LAN ports (10/100 RJ-45). The new SP916GK has the radio modulation of OFDM/DSSS with a frequency band of 2.400~2.4835GHz. The data rate consists of 802.11b (1, 2, 5.5 and 11Mbps) and 802.11g (6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, and 54Mbps) standards.

The maximum power output is between 16dBm~18dBm with a detachable antenna. The operational channels of the product are as follow: USA 11, Europe13 and Japan 14. The supported operational modes include AP and WDS (wireless distribution system).

The product has advanced features like ALG for FTP, NetMeeting, VPN pass-through, DDNS (DynDNS, TZO), DNS relay and UPnP. The firewall enables SPI Anti-DoS and Virtual DMZ. The hardware runs on an external power adapter of 12VDC/ 1A. The operating temperature of the device is 0~40 with the operating humidity of 10% - 90% (Non-condensing).
