 Nokia, Rahman in music initiative
 Nokia, the world leader in mobile communications has joined hands with music maestro A R Rahman for his initiative 'Pray For Me, Brother.' As part of this announcement, Nokia presented its first N91 music smart phone to Rahman, the most influential name in contemporary Indian music, in Chennai on April 28, 2006.
This announcement signifies Nokia's intent to build the mobile music domain through collaboration with the best in the industry and at the same time provide music enthusiasts in India access to an iconic mobile music device with cutting-edge smart phone capabilities, said Gautam Advani, director, Multimedia, Nokia India.
To support the 'Pray For Me, Brother' music initiative, Nokia Nseries will be conducting a series of events and activities across the country. The proceeds generated from the activities and the sale of the album will be donated to the United Nations charity towards poverty alleviation.
 The Nokia N91 is the first of its kind music smart phone that delivers seamless switching between the integrated functions of music, smart phone and imaging. What differentiates the Nokia N91 is the fact that it is always connected, enabling users to download music while on the move, add songs to their play list and share them anytime, anywhere, Gautam said.
The N91 provides a massive storage space of 4GB and can store up to 3,000 songs on the device. While supporting a host of digital music formats, the N91 offers 12.5 hours of seamless digital sound.
Gautam said, "Nokia Nseries is extremely honoured and excited about its association with the guru of music, Mr. A. R. Rahman. This announcement breaks new ground for mobile music in India and we are thrilled that A R Rahman has chosen Nokia N91 as his mobile music companion."
Speaking on the occasion, Rahman said, "I am delighted to be associated with Nokia Nseries for my initiative 'Pray for Me, Brother', which, for the first time, will have my sound tracks in English." He added, "I am also thrilled with the complete music experience delivered on the Nokia N91 and I am convinced that it will become my constant mobile music companion."
 Encased in a stainless steel stylish case, the Nokia N91 is a true converged device with dedicated music keys on its face, which slide down to reveal the phone keypad. Nokia N91 features a range of compatible accessories from industry leading brands Bose, Harman Kardon, JBL and
Sennheiser.
