of Ajit, one heard that he was playing a negative role in “Deena.’ “My
role does have shades of grey,” agrees Ajit. “I want to experiment with
various types of roles, and I liked the story of ‘Deena.’ After the flop of
his film ‘Unnai Kodu Ennai Tharuven’ (for which the hero
magnanimously took the blame) Ajit hasn’t signed many films. And now comes ‘Deena.’
“It is directed by Murugadas, an assistant of director Surya. And I liked the
way he narrated the story to me,” says Ajit. ‘Deena’ and Citizen’ are
slated for 2001 release.
