Singara Chennai
 It has not been 'instant recognition' for 'Five Star' hero Prasanna. But steadily offers have been trickling in, and the latest film he has signed is, 'Singara Chennai' with Rati as the heroine. The maiden venture of producer E. Sandip and E. Surya for their banner '7 Hill SS Cinema', the film is directed by K. Dharman. The film has music by Karthik Raja, cinematography by Ramnath Shetty and editing by K. Thanikachalam. While the sets are designed by Suresh Merlin, the stunts are choreographed by Kanal Kannan who plays a key role in the film. The supporting cast has Vivek, Vijayan, Abhinayasri, Paravai Muniamma, Sabita Anand, Meera Krishnan and Kalabhavan Mani.

Interesting Team !
It's an interesting teaming up of K. Bhagyaraj, Parthibhan and Pandiarajan in a new, untitled film. Parthiban and Pandiarajan play brothers who fall in love with the same girl, and Bhagyaraj provides the third angle in the story. Producing and directing the film is S. Sivakumar who had apprenticed with Bhagyaraj, and directed two films 'Ayudha Pooja' and 'Irattai Jadai Vayasu'. So, it's Bhagyaraj, with two of his assistants-turned heroes sharing frames with him, and a third one directing them! The rest of the cast and crew have yet to be
finalised.

Kadhal Kirukkan
 Parthiban seems to be on a signing spree. There's yet another film announced with him as the hero. 'Kadhal Kirukkan' is directed by Shakti Chidambaram and produced by Variety Frames. The film has music by Deva. At the Prasad Deluxe Theatre, the venue of the launch, a song was recently recorded under Deva's baton. The rest of the crew and cast are being finalised.

Koothupattarai
Actor-producer Prakashraj has two films on the floors - 'Naam', and "Koothupattarai'. The second film stars Prasanna as the hero ('Five Star' fame), and Prakashraj in a crucial role. The heroine is yet to be selected. The supporting cast includes Pyramid Natarajan, Jaiverma, Hema Bhasker, and some actors from the 'Koothupattarai' theatre troupe. The film scripted and directed by Radha Mohan, has music by Ramesh Vinayakam, cinematography by Vashisht, and sets designed by Vaira Balan. Shooting for the film, a love story, will commence in August in Chennai.
