The registers, records and notices to be maintained/displayed by a shop or commercial establishment are tabulated below:

Note:-
The signature of the employees should be obtained in
Forms E, F or H as the case may be, on the first of the
succeeding month.
Rules regarding Service Book –
a.
The service book shall be the property of the
employee.
b.
The employer shall not demand it except to make
entries/correction/alterations/deletions of entries and
he should also not retain it with him for more than
three days at a time.
c.
While receiving the Service Book from the employee,
the employer shall issue a receipt duly signed by him
with date to the person employed for having received the
same.
d.
If an employee loses his Service Book the employer on
the payment of 50 p (fifty paise) shall replace the
same.
e.
Not more than three replacements should be allowed
during the entire period of service of the person
employed.
