| Kalyanapuram's Thiruppavai Live Audio
 Chennaionline takes great pride in presenting Kalaimamani Kalyanapuram Aaaravamudachariar's Live Thiruppavai programme at the Narada Gana Sabha this Margazhi season (December 2005) which would be of great benefit to readers and listeners all over the world.
We present herewith all the 30 Pasurams performed Live before an august gathering.
In each CD which readers can download, 5 Pasurams are presented from the Live programme conducted every day for 30 days in this December music season.
There will in all be six CDs, each CD has a running time of about 35 minutes (7 minutes for each Pasuram), which will serve as a ready reckoner on the Thiruppavai. Await 5 more CDs on the remaining Pasurams.

Born on 25th July 1936 at KaIyanapuram, a beautiful village on the Southern bank of river Cauvery, adjacent to Thiruvaiyaru.

Father: (No more) Nathamuni Ranganatha Iyengar (popularly known as Raju Vaadyar) was a great Vedic scholar of repute and well-versed in music Divya Prabandam etc..

Mother: (alive 89 years) Sengammal, pious housewife who took great care in bringing up the children in a proper atmosphere.

After High School educafion at Thiruvaiyaru, he moved out of Kalyanapuram at an early age for further studies/employment.

During the early years, he learnt Vedas, Prabhandas and initial lessons in music from his father Nathamuni Ranganatha Iyengar. It is noteworthy that Ranaganatha Iyengar acted as Narada/Swami Nigamantha Mahadesika, in the drama Sankalpa Suryodayam and used to act, singing on the stage. He had also given vocaI support for Harikatha performances of S T Srinivasachariar.

Aaravadamudachariar served in reputed organisations such as Remington, IBM and IDM etc for over 20 years, he decided to give up his job and pursue Harikatha on a full-time basis, at the age of 43, unmindful of the financial loss.

Learnt Sampradaya Granthas from H.H. Srimath Thirukudanthai Andavan.

Learnt the intricacies of Harikatha from the doyen, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Embar Vijayaraghavachaariar whose style is followed.

On the recommendation of Embar Vijayaragavachariar, the Madras Music Academy invited him in 1979 to present a Harikatha, which was the maiden performance.

It was in the same year, 1979, All India Radio, Trichy, started offering programme as a grade artiste. Within 20 years, AIR has upgraded him as TOP Grade artiste.

Has performed in leading Sabhas all over the eountry. Has performed not only in major cities/towns but also in small villages.

Imparts training to students on Harikatha at Sri Ranganatha Paduka Vidyalaya, run by Srirangam Srimath Andavan Asramam.

Has been selected by Government of India under Guru-Sishya scheme to teach Harikatha.
