Himesh Reshmmiya continues his `chunariya' fixation with the song `Lal chunariya' (which sounds just like his compositions for earlier movies), and Anand his bhangra one with `Teri bindiya', sung by Abhijeet and Sunidhi Chauhan.
The theme song by Sonu Nigam and Kumar Sanu celebrates the jodi of Sanjay Dutt and Govinda with some pure inane lyrics. Side B starts off with a paen to friendship, `Teri dil mera thikana', a la `Ye dosti' from the movie `Sholay' and again sung by Sonu and Sanu.
Sonu does an okay job in 'Meri Mehbooba', which is composed by Anand and dominated by hardcore Bhangra beats. 'Akkh Lad Gayi' sounds just like a Punjabi pop number. This album left me so tired and drained, I just longed for Annu Malik. Venky |

This is a David Dhawan movie, and therefore you know what kind of music to expect. The songs in his movies are just meant to provide some relief from the comic capers of the characters. This is the second movie starring Sanjay Dutt and Govinda, after
`Haseena Maan Jayegi', and songs in this are very similar to the earlier ones in that. Here too you get nonstop
nonsense.
Prateek Joseph pens and sings 'Ande Ka Phanda' (isn't it spelled funda?). Might be this can be used as the theme song for the Operation Egg, which was launched by the Government some years ago.
`Mast mast' is composed by Anand and sung by Sunidhi and Sonu. What a great let-down for Sunidhi, who had sung the wonderful title song of `Mast' which had music by Sandeep
