Director: Dr. Jabbar Patel
Vinod Sehgal and Ravindra Sathe then sing the philosophical `Kabira Kahe', traditional `dohas' or couplets composed by one of the greats of Hindi poetry, Kabirdas. His couplets attacked the hypocrisy of the Hindu and Muslim religions and advocated a casteless and classless society. Roopkumar Rathod and Vinod Sehgal sing another bhajan by Kabir, `Man lago'. The couplets have influenced generations and are bound to so in the future too: `Man lago mere yaar fakiri mein, Jo sukh payo ram bhajan mein, so sukh naahin amiri mein'. (Kabirdas says that he wants to become a mendicant as he finds more peace in singing Ram bhajans than in wealth and riches.)
Side B is full of theme scores. The `Ambedkar' theme has some dialogues of Ambedkar speaking to his students and fellow professor, `Ramabai' has Dr. Ambedkar speaking with his wife, Ramabai, and the `Gandhi' theme has a few dialogues between Dr. Ambedkar and Gandhiji. All the dialogues are meant to provide insightful glimpses into the mind of Dr. Ambedkar. The theme scores though do not impress. The last theme `Buddham Sharanam Gachchami' starts off with Dr. Ambedkar's speech at Deekshabhoomi before he embraced Buddhism with his followers. Amar Haldipur has been around in Bollywood for a long time, but has sadly been relegated to composing the background scores for movies. `Dr. Ambedkar' is his most ambitious scores till date, and one hopes it will get him more such important and prestigious projects which will provide him ample scope to display his talent and creativity.
