The
Music World showroom at Spencer Plaza, Chennai's very first specialty music
retail store, has announced a number of attractive prizes for purchases made
at the shop for a week beginning November 1, 2003, in view of its sixth
anniversary celebrations.
The celebrations
include celebrity visits to the showroom and
interactions/autograph sessions with musicians of Chennai and also
several attractive offers including price-offs, freebies and the
like. Among others, winners could get prizes like DVD players,
refrigerators, digital cameras, among others.
Discounts are
offered to consumers on various pop, film and devotional music
including recitations of Saundarya Lahari, Vishnu Sahasranamam and

In
the Celebrity Visits, Day 1 featured child prodigy K
Sathyanarayanan playing the keyboard. Sathyanarayanan started
playing the keyboard from the age of three and within a year, he
had passed the Solo Piano Examination conducted by the Trinity
College of Music, London. Since then, he has been playing solo
concerts both in Carnatic as also Western Music both in India and
abroad. He heads a musical orchestra troupe 'Rhythm & Raga'
playing devotional and light music. The world sat up and took
notice of this prodigy when he became a National Record holder
under the Limca Book of Records in the year 2003 when he became
the youngest Indian to pass Grade IV electronic keyboard
examinations of the London Trinity College.
