Sanchara - the movement of the raga
Every raga has an identity. To establish, there are set patterns or phrases sung by the peers and the great musicians in conformity with the tradition.
In Hindi, the word 'adat', that which comes by practice, is the common word.
Everybody has heard the very famous Purandaradasa's 'Sri Gana Nada Sindhuravarna Karuna Sagara Karivadana' in Malahari - Roopaka Talam, being taught to every student of music in the beginners level.

Sri - Ga na na da
is the beginning phrase of Malahari, which can easily be memorised by the learner.
This sanchara naturally leads to the raga flavour of
Malahari.
In the same way, each of the Trinity compositions have a characteristic beginning, middle and a finale pattern in their gigantic contributions - the
Kriti.
In every kriti, music is captured by the usage of words.
In 'Siddhi Vinayagam' - Shanmukhapriya - Roopam - Muthuswami Dikshitar, a discerning student of Carnatic music learns by heart the
(words) - Matu - Siddhi Vinayagam
(music)- Dhatu - in Siddhi Vinayagam
and the Union of the words and the music contributing the raga-sanchara of Shanmukhapriya.
