In
a star-studded event, the audio CD of
'Kannamoochi
Enadaa', a film produced by Radaan Mediaworks (I) Ltd, in
association with UTV Motion Pictures and Pyramid Saimira Ltd,
was released in Chennai on August 25, 2007.
Vivek Oberoi, Ronnie Screwala of UTV, Abirami
Ramanathan were among those present as also actor and Nadigar
Sangam president, Sarath Kumar, and his wife-cum-actress Radhika,
besides the main stars of the film, Satyaraj and Sandhya. The
film is directed by V Priya.
Vivek Oberoi said he was greatly impressed by the talent in
the south Indian film industry especially among the technicians.
He dsiclosed that he would act in director Selvaraghavan's
forthcoming film, a remake of
7/G Rainbow
Colony, in Hindi. He said he was excited about the film
since he was a great admirer of Selvaraghavan's work.
Ronnie said UTV was happy to associate itself with the
production of the Tamil film 'Kannamoochi Enadaa' in association
with Radaan, a company floated by Radhika. He was also glad to
note that the Tamil film industry was getting more and more into
the corporate groove which would augur well for the industry.
Actor Satyaraj said the work experience in the film was unique
since the entire unit was busy cracking jokes. He had no
reservations about accepting a different kind of role in this
movie since he had to acquire a different image now like Amitabh
Bachchan. The actor had quite a digs at himself, especially his
inadequacies in using the English language.
Actor Prakashraj said he always felt that director Priya had
great talent and he was sure the film would do well. Natarajan
of the Pyramid Saimira group said the company had entered into a
partnership with Radaan for this movie. R Murali, AVP,
Content, Reliance Capital Ltd., said his company, 'Big Music',
was happy to release the audio CD of the movie as the songs by
Yuvan Shankar Raja (lyrics Thamarai) were outstanding.
