Vijay on Sundays, 8 p.m.
Madan is known for his objective reviews of films and is closely tracked by the film industry and public alike. He has been appreciated for his no-nonsense attitude when it comes to a critical analysis of today’s cinema.
On completion of the 100 episodes and to felicitate the man himself an event was dedicated to celebrate the success. The Tamil film industry turned out in full strength. Some of the personalities who were present included ace film director Mani Ratnam, actor-director

The evening was unique in its own way with Madan conducting an informal discussion/debate on issues affecting the cinema industry today. Kamal Hassan took the lead and posed a question to Mani Ratnam on the necessity of songs in films. Mani, after some introspection, said this was a unique aspect of Indian cinema and the commercial compulsions involved in film-making. Khushbu had a lot to say on the realities of the roles actresses played in shaping films and how she would like it to evolve. The evening was momentous with many such intriguing insights from personalities who take the onus of taking this industry forward.
 This one-hour show will also be interlaced with the best moments Madan’s Thirai Parvai since its launch. It’s an opportunity to see what the masters have to say about the future of the Tamil film industry. For a change the top personalities from the film fraternity pass judgment on Madan himself.
