Freaky Friday
Director: Mark S. Waters
Cast: Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Mark Harmon, Harold Gould, Chad Michael Murray

The 1970s Barbara Harris-Jodie Foster comedy 'Freaky Friday', based on Mary Rodger's classic novel, is re-adapted yet again on cellulloid to suit a more contemporary setting. And this time playing the mother and daughter, who one freaky night find themselves switching bodies, and at the end of it learn to respect each other's point of view - is Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. With Curtis' penchant for comedy, it's a treat to watch her when she goes through the teenager-trapped-in-her-body act.
Tess is a psychiatrist, but ironically she fails to understand when it comes to managing her teenage daughter Anna. A widow, Tess is all set to marry Ryan, the new man in her life. A fact which Anna resents, and makes no bones about expressing it. Anna's musical aspirations, and her problems in school compounded by a vindictive school master, is one which Tess fails to understand, holding Anna responsible for the school fracas.
But comes one freaky friday when the duo learn to respect each other and understand each other's feelings and points of view. Tess finds herself in Anna's body and Anna in Tess'. They are forced to literally walk in each other's shoes, and experience a bit of each other's lives first-hand. It's then that they learn to understand each other's points of view. But with Tess' wedding on Saturday, the duo have to find a way to return back into their bodies.
It may not be a hilarious comedy, but it surely is one which will not bore you, and there are some moments of good physical comedy, particularly the scenes where Curtis plays Anna-trapped-in-the-body-of-Tess scenes.
