 Ladies nite at Traders Hotel
 One of the more elegant lounges in the city, the all-new Zodiac Bar at Traders Hotel (Shangri-La), Chennai, is dedicated to the zodiac and the mystic that revolves around it.
"At Zodiac, we bring the good times back into your life. Open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., this is an ideal setting to unwind after a frenzied day. We fuse our own desi and international flavours presented in a contemporary style. Our speciality cocktails like Coffee Martini give you a caffeine kick and an alcohol buzz at the same time. This drink will inculcate a sense of authority and passion," says Kimberley Francis, service manager, Food and Beverage.
 "Zodiac has been in operation since May 20, 2005, and, to mark the official launch, we are celebrating a 'ladies night out' with complimentary sprits to all women. Not to be left behind, the men too get the first round of drinks on the house," she said.
The special bar menu for the night included cocktails like the gin based White Lady dedicated to the spirit of a woman; Silk Panties, a naughty concoction of vodka, peach schnapps, fresh peach and cream (1988 cocktail of the year by The Director of F&B Hari Sukumar); and Strawberry caipiroska to beat the summer heat. Shooters include Maiden's Blush and signature shooter 'Lemonchino' made from lemon-flavoured vodka and a lime-wedge dipped in sugar and coffee powder.
An all-girl band, Mantra, kept pace with the ambience of the Zodiac lounge.
