The exclusive features of Grand Nirvana are:

All rooms face the lake;

Indo-Colonial type of architecture which gives it a majestic look;

Sixteen superior rooms, 5 pool deck rooms, 3 junior suites and 3 luxury suites. The suites have a built-in steam house-cum-Jacuzzi in the bathroom besides a large bedroom and sitting area. The junior suites are located close to the waterfront where guests can just relax, fish, read. The pool deck rooms have access to the swimming pool directly from the room making it convenient for swimming enthusiasts. The superior rooms overlook the lake with a breathtaking view.

The multi-cusine restaurant with a 180 degree view of the lake;

The luxury houseboat called 'The Cruising Villa', which is the only one of its kind on the Vembanad Lake. It comprises two bedrooms, living-cum-dining, kitchen and an upper deck with a Jacuzzi.

An Ayurveda centre with highly trained masseurs to provide different kinds of massage to rejuvenate and relax the mind and body.

Announcing the opening of the resort, Mohan said in Chennai, "Kerala was the first choice because of its natural surroundings and the huge lakes which would be any tourist's delight. It is now an accepted norm that Kerala is God's Own Country because of its greenery and is known the world over for its Ayurveda treatment."

Mohan added that along with IT, India has become a favourite tourism destination for global travellers. Kerala, which is already popular among the premium tourism destinations, has also now given a new thrust to IT and ITeS services. This will ensure that the Grand Nirvana Lake Resort will always have good patronage not only from foreigners during the season but also locals and Indian population throughout the year.

Based on the success of this boutique resort, the company plans to put up three more resorts by 2010.

Radhika Shastry, managing director, RCI India, said, "Tourism is bound to grow, particularly in the south, because of the tremendous IT industry growth. Boutique resorts like Grand Nirvana serve a clear niche and play a vital role in satisfying the needs of an enlightened traveller."

She said, "The Grand Nirvana is also affiliated with RCI (Resort Condominium International), which is the world's largest holiday exchange company. More than 4,000 resorts are affiliated worldwide with RCI. Besides giving holiday exchanges, RCI provides several other services to members."

Grand Nirvana Holiday Resorts has also launched membership to Grand Nirvana Holiday Club, which will allow the members not only to use the resort in Kerala and the future developments of the company but also exchange their holidays in Grand Nirvana with a choice of over 4,000 resorts worldwide. This gives the members a huge variety to see various places and experience different holidays all the time, Mohan added.
