Vasanta Bhavan's Vadapalani restaurant
A palatial, mansion-style restaurant over a sprawling site of 33,000 sq. ft with an exclusive kids’ play area and a drive-in restaurant at 104, 100-Feet Road, Vadapalani, is not just another restaurant. It is billed as India's largest vegetarian restaurant.
Namma Veedu Vasanta Bhavan, the exclusive vegetarian restaurant, was inaugurated on June 22, 2006, by A V M Saravanan, while renowned lyricist Vairamuthu lit the traditional lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravi, managing director, said, "We have concentrated on making Namma Veedu Vasanta Bhavan a comfortable dining option for Chennaiites, with two restaurants and drive-in, a large and interesting kids zone and a expansive car park."
Namma Veedu Vasanta Bhavan, Chennai’s vegetarian restaurant chain, has been pampering taste buds since 1974, with restaurants at Egmore, Tambaram, Mylapore, Vadapalani, Nungambakkam and outlets in the US, Dubai and Sri Lanka.
The decor is elaborate and gives the restaurant the desired mix of sophistication and fun. The restaurant seats more than 150 diners and serves authentic south Indian vegetarian cuisine, Ravi pointed out.
The ‘Namma Veedu’ concept aims at creating splendid ‘home-like’ dining restaurants serving authentic south Indian cuisine and a variety of other cuisines, Ravi said.
