Paramount Airways, promoted by the Paramount Group, a leading textile manufacturer and export house based in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, has taken delivery of their fifth Embraer beginning this month.

With the arrival of the fifth aircraft, Paramount will be flying new destinations in the south, namely Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati. New routes will also be added to the existing destinations. The new routes will connect Hyderabad and Bangalore, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, Bangalore and Hyderabad and Coimbatore and Bangalore.

M Thiagarajan, managing director of Paramount Airways and the youngest promoter and airline head in the world, said in Chennai, "One year into the aviation industry, and we have launched our first class branded 'Paramount First'. We have added five aircraft to our fleet and more than 20 routes. We are not only increasing our connectivity between existing cities, but are also adding new routes with every new aircraft. Our guests have patronised us throughout and the newly added service. 'Paramount First' will be a new and pampering experience for them."

Paramount offers include a special valet service, lounge access and personalised attention of the butlers.

The aircraft has a total of 75 seats, of which 11 are first class and the rest will be business class. The seating arrangement will be in 1:2 style. This ensures a lot of moving space and convenience for the girst class passenger, Thiagarajan said.

Embraer 170 offers 21per cent more storage volume per passenger and 27 per cent more volume per passenger. The seat pitch is the highest and has a 1200 recline. The double-bubble fuselage design on all Embraer E-Jets means passengers enjoy an extraordinary amount of personal space and stowage with dimensions that even exceed larger, single-aisle mainline aircraft.
