 Jet Airways' daily flight to Singapore
Jet Airways will commence its direct, daily flight between Chennai and Singapore effective December 7, 2005.
Flight 9W 016 (Chennai-Singapore) will depart from Arignar Anna International Airport, Chennai at 10.20 a.m. on December 7, 2005 and arrive into Changi International Airport, Singapore at 5.10 p.m. Flight 9W 015 (Singapore-Chennai) will depart Singapore at 11.30 a.m. on December 8, 2005 and reach Chennai at 1.10 p.m. the same day. This non-stop, daytime flight between Chennai and Singapore will operate daily at the same time.
A Next Generation B737-800 aircraft will operate this flight with winglets for improved performance, especially configured for international operations with 16 seats in Club Premiere (Business Class) and 124 seats in the Economy Class. A multi-lingual crew will cater to passengers on board. Jet Airways would also add value to the in-flight experience with roomier seats, world-class gourmet cuisine and non-stop audio-video entertainment, complemented by Indian hospitality at its best, said U Harish Shenoy, general manager, South India and Sri Lanka, in

As a special Inaugural offer, Jet Airways has announced a Companion Free fare for all Club Premiere passengers traveling on the Chennai-Singapore-Chennai sector. For an amount of Rs.46,060, a passenger with companion must travel together on both sectors of the journey. A similar Companion Free offer is available for passengers travelling on the Singapore-Chennai-Singapore route, and is available for both Club Premiere and Economy class travel. These fares are SGD 3000 and SGD 1200 respectively. This offer is valid only on tickets purchased on or before December 7, 2005, Shenoy said.
An inaugural Economy Class return fare of Rs.12,000 is being offered on the Chennai Singapore route. The Singapore - Chennai fare for the same is SGD 700.
Jet Privilege Members will be able to reap enhanced benefits on the Chennai-Singapore as well as Singapore-Chennai routes, from December 7, 2005 - January 15, 2006. This includes accrual of additional JP Miles, over the standard accrual, based on the class of travel.

In addition, there is a choIce of French wines and liquor, crudites with assorted cheese, a fruit platter, Swiss Chocolates and a range of coffee and tea.
Passengers can choose from signature Continental and Indian cuisine. South Indian delicacies like the delectable Dakshin Prawn Curry and Poondu Puli Kozhambu are especially selected for this route.
Choice of French wines and liquor, comfortable seating, in-flight audio-video, freshly brewed coffee will also be available in the Economy class, Luethi said.
Luethi said 'Vibrant India' was indeed a good draw. The domestic sector was growing at an incredible rate of 29 per cent as travel had become more affordable and more routes were opening up. Jet Airways would introduce 12 &#& Boeings to the domstic market in the next few months. Services may be considered to the Gulf, Europe, North merica and South Africa.
