Kunjal Kriya or Vaman Dhauti
(regurgitative cleansing)
Preparation:
Wash the hands and make sure the nails are carefully
trimmed.
Prepare about two liter's of lukewarm (body temperature)
water peer person, adding one teaspoonful of salt per litre according to taste
Technique I: Kunjal Kriya (the practice of vomiting
water)
Stand near a sink or toiler, or if the weather is warm,
in a suitable place outside in the garden or near an open drain. Drink at least six
glasses of the prepared water one after the other, as quickly as possible, until. It feels
that the stomach cannot hold any more. It is most important to drink fast and not just sip
the water.
When the stomach is full, the urge to vomit will occur
automatically.
Lean forward, keeping the trunk as horizontal as
possible. Open the mouth and place th emiddle and index fingures of the right hand as far
back on the tongue as possible. Gently rub and press the back of the tongue.this should
induce the water to gush out from the stomach.
If there is no expulsion of water in means the tips of
the fingers are not far enough down the throat or that the tongue is not being pressed.
The more the practitioner relaxes into be practice, the
easier it will be.
During the expulsion of water the finger may be removed
from mouth although this is not necessary.
When the flow of water ceased, again place the finger in
the mouth repeat the process.,
Continue in this way until the stomach is empty
OFFICE: Eyes, Jaw and Neck
Though space is limited in the office, it is still
important to release any stress that builds up during the day due to the pressures at
work. The first tension sports are the eyes, neck, and shoulders, and this exercises is
the most effective way to releasing all the stiffness in these areas quickly. You will
feel relieved immediately and be able to face the rest of the day knowing that you have an
instant solution if the problem reoccurs. During the exercise, breathe as deeply as,
possible to help movement and calm the nervous system.
Sit on a chair or on the floor and cross your legs at the
ankles. Sit up tall and clasp hands behind your neck. Open our elbows in line with your
shoulders and push your shoulder blades down. Inhale deeply and slowly bring your elbows
together. Exhale and return your elbows to position. I Remember to keep your head straight
in the with your neck and shoulders Repeat. Now look upwards as high as possible without
titling backward. Inhale, and bring your head back and as you exhale pone the elbows as
much possible. Open your mouth to release your jaw, and close .Repeat this jaw action
twice and return to position. I Repeat this section. Now release your arms
And continue to sit upright. Rub your hands together to
generate heat blow into you palms. Place both palms over eyes. /this soothes the eyes and
helps reduce pointing headaches. Breathe deeply and hold for as long as you can.
DESK EXERCISES
FOREHEAD AND SINUS MASSAGE
1. Sit in a comfortable posture with the head., neck and
trunk straight. Make a loose fist with both hands, the thumbs against the forehead between
the two eyebrows. Begin to message the forehead with the thumbs by working up and our with
a stroking motion., Follow the bony around the eyes and continue out across the temples.
2. Next, place the side of the thumb on the face just
below the eyes and next to the nose, one cane one each side. Make the same motions, moving
outwards across the face and temples.
3. Pone the hands, Using the underside of the thumbs,
gently slide the thumbs across the upper rim of the eye sockets towards the temples.
4. Likewise massage with the index fingers the lower rim
of the eye sockets towards the temples.
All of these movements begin at the centre of the face
and move outward. This pushes all the tensions off the face, forehead, and temples, and
smoothes away any wrinkles on the forehead or crows-feet at the eyes edges. This message
may help break up loosen mucus obstruction in the nasal sinuses. |
