Breathe easy with Ayurvedic formula News

Pankajakasthuri Herbals (India) Ltd, makers of the Pankajakasthuri Ayurvedic cure for asthma, launched their new Ayurvedic supplement for contemporary living – Breathe Eazy. Aimed at a core urban audience, Breathe Eazy's unique formula harnesses concentrated phytonutrients and xanthones from herbal plants to help the body fight the most potent menace of urban living – pollution.

Simultaneously, Pankajakasthuri Herbals (India) Ltd has also announced their engagement with the burning issue of global warming, with actor Madhavan as their brand activist. In the course of a detailed presentation on global warming, Madhavan highlighted the real and imminent danger that the earth faces and how the greenhouse gases have contributed to the creation of multiple disasters that the world is now seeing – melting of glaciers, rise of sea levels, extremes of hot and cold climate, hurricanes, floods and famine.

Madhavan pointed out, "Pollution is on the rise and according to the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) statistics, the levels of sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide were low and the level of suspended particulate matter (SPM) was much higher than the permissible limit due to which many suffer from health disorders like respiratory, cardio-vascular, stress, tiredness and exhaustion."

Citing his own personal wish to see the sparrows back in Chennai, Madhavan issued a wake up call to Chennaivasis to not only adopt the systematic action plan to cut down emission of greenhouse gases but also put pressure on governmental agencies to enforce measures that will bring down pollution in the immediate context and negate the effect of global warming at the macro level.

Dr J Hareendran Nair, chairman and founder of Pankajakasthuri, explained the medical science behind Breathe Eazy and how the right proportions of natural ingredients enable a person to breathe more freely and thereby not only offset the effects of pollution but also fend off several diseases. The product was evolved after 20 years of research and feedback of patients attending the Pankajakasthuri Ayurvedic Medical College in Thiruvananthapuram, he added.

Among the steps that Madhavan would like citizens to take are: use of car pools, cut down air travel and travel instead by train to overnight destinations, replace ordinary bulbs with CFL bulbs, ensure lights and air conditioners are switched off in offices post-work hours and commute by walk or cycle to nearby neighbourhood destinations.

Breathe Eazy is available in two sizes of 400 gm and 200 gm priced at Rs 170 and Rs 90 respectively and also in a sachet for Rs 2. The product is being exported to more than 15 countries.
