Maida - 4 cups
Potato - ½ kg.
Green Chillies - 6 nos.
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp. (Chopped)
Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp.
Salt to taste
Oil For frying.
Procedure
Sieve the maida flour. Add salt, turmeric powder, oil, and water to the sieved maida. Make a soft dough and set it aside for one hour. Pressure cook the potatoes and let them cool. Later mash the cooked potatoes. Add salt. Grind coriander leaves and green chillies to a smooth paste. Add this paste to the mashed potatoes and mix them well. Make small balls out of the potato mixture. In the same way make small balls out of the maida dough too. Flatten the maida balls with fingers, place the potato balls in the centre and cover it. Flatten the stuffed balls with fingers. Heat a flat tawa and place these polis one by one. Add oil to the sides and fry on both sides till it becomes golden brown.
