Samundari
Ratan, the second in the series of kebab food festivals from Chola, brings to Chennai a celebration of the finest seafood preparations with traditional recipes. Never in the history of Peshawri's existence has one been exposed to such a uniquely crafted seafood spread of the kind that will be on display over the next fortnight.
For the seafood lovers, there are five varieties of fish. Some of the fish dishes on the menu include the Tandoori Murrel -- whole Murrel marinated in curd and Indian Spices finished in tandoor, Tandoori Salmon -- marinated in a mélange of curd and exotic tandoori spices grilled. Prawn and lobster also form an important component of the menu. In addition we have the Crab Kurchan and Qualiyan -e-Jhinga-a prawn preparation in a special sea food gravy.
Samundari Ratan, which literally translates into
Jewels of the Sea, promises to be a unique experience. The marinade used for each dish is different, some with subtle variations, but each item on the menu creating a completely different experience.
