| The Burger & Steak Festival
 Food connoisseurs had a special reason to feel good last fortnight. A burger and steak festival was on show from August 21 to September 5 at the Verandah, Taj Connemara. This special festival featured some exclusive burgers and steaks that one would have heard of, but never got to taste!
Pasupathy, General Manager, Taj Connemara said, "The burger and steak culture in India is getting increasingly popular. As a part of our endeavour to cater to all stratas of food connoisseurs, we have been organising festivals with a difference. We decided to showcase the entire gamut of variety in the steak and burger genre. Given the uniqueness of the festival and the potential for this culture in Chennai, we are positive that there will be more such festivals."
The menu comprised delicious burgers such as the creamy tuna special (a rich tuna salad burger), devilled chicken bunwich (a spicy chicken mince kebab in herbed bun), burger cordon bleu ( cheese stuffed vegetable burger) and mexicorn burger (spicy chilli in a corn burger bun) while in the steak division one can sample mouth watering varieties such as the Vienna steak (minced meat steak topped with fried egg , accompanied with a piquante sauce) and tournedos aux champignon ( served with mushroom sauce) while the green house steak and broken heart are some of the vegetarian fare that are featured at the steak festival.
With so much on offer, the steak and burger festival is all about raising your stakes on the burgers and steak!! For all the food aficionados, this is something you just cannot miss!
