Manoj’s latest venture 'Raju Bhai' is schedule to be released May 18. Despite having done two films, 'Donga Dongadi' and 'Sree', in the past, he didn't taste success but is confident of his latest film. He plays a man who gets into the mafia world and later falls in love. "It is a realistic film and and will definitely be received well by movie-goers," says the hunk. The film is a remake of Tamil film 'Chithiram Pesuthadi'. Manoj says that he is ready for negative roles too if he is convinced about the character, and is game for multi-starrers. Sheila is the heroine while Surya Kiran is the director. Yuvan Shanker Raja has scored the music for the film.
Next venture of Jagapathi Babu
After 'Pellaina Kothalo', Jagapathi Babu is back with his next venture to be directed by Dasarath. The film will have glamour girls, Anushka and Bhoomika, playing the female leads. The film will commence regular schedule of shooting from June 27. "It is not just a triangular love story but a family entertainer," said the director. R Ramesh Babu is the cinematographer. R P Patnaik is going to score the music. "Again, I am back to a film with two heroines. It will be on the lines of 'Mavi Chiguru' and 'Subha Lagnam'," said Jagapathi Babu. Vijay Kumar Attaluri is producing the film for Sri Vijay Krishna Creations banner. After 'Santhosham', Dasarath didn’t have a hit and it remains to be seen how the film is going to turn out. The film is scheduled to be released in October.
Ghazini remake
Gita Arts, which earlier produced films like 'Aaj Ka Gunda Raj' and 'Pratibandh' in Hindi, is going to produce another film. This time it is a remake of Murugadoss' Tamil hit 'Ghazini', with Bollywood actor Aamir Khan in the lead role. Megastar Chiranjeevi sounded the clap board at the film's launch recently in Mumbai. Murugadoss will direct the film in Hindi as well and Asin is going to play the female lead. It will have music by A R Rehman. Harris Jayaraj’ music for the original film was a huge hit and it remains to be seen how the film would turn out in the Hindi version. Producer Allu Aravind and Ghazini hero Surya were present at the launch.
Films in three languages
Geeta Krishna, who earlier directed films like 'Sankeertana', 'Kokila' and 'Keechurallu', is planning to make a series of films in three languages, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi this year onwards. "I have started a banner called 'Blue Fox'. Here onwards, a few bilinguals and films on innovative themes will be produced. They will be a mix of both big stars and small actors," says the director who is planning a heroine-oriented film with Trisha and a film with upcoming actor
