The audio release function of 'Aata' saw Siddharth and Ileana being praised to the skies. If Siddharth was termed as mini-Kamal Haasan, Ileana got the name 'Andhra Brooke Shields'. Ileana, in the peak of her career, said she went through an emotional experience while working for the film. Appreciating the films music as mind blowing, hero Siddharth said producer M S Raju is like a godfather for him. Aata is directed by V N Aditya. Producer D Ramanaidu too showered praise on M S Raju, saying that he earned the tag of a respectable producer with his command over the art of film-making. "He is a passionate film-maker and finds joy in getting involved in every aspect of film-making, he adds. Prabhas, Dil Raju, writer Paruchuri brothers and comedian Sunil were also present on the occasion.
Puri Jagannath parties
Mahesh Babu’s 'Pokkiri' went on to run for 365 days. It happens to be the only film to have done so, after 27 years. On the occasion, the man behind the film, director Puri Jagannath, threw a party to the film crew. Earlier, K Raghavendra Rao’s 'Adavi Ramudu' and Dasari Narayana Rao’s 'Premabhishekam' ran for 365 days. The director is busy with Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja’s 'Chirutha'. Delhi-based Neha Sharma is going to make her debut as heroine in the film. Though 'Pokkiri' is supposed to be remade in Hindi with Mahesh Babu by Ram Gopal Varma, it is believed that the move has been set aside as both are busy with other commitments. Puri Jagannath’s latest release 'Desamuduru' too sprang a surprise by completing a successful 100-day run. The director now wants to give a chance to new talent by producing films under his own banner 'Vaishno Academy'.
Raju Bhai audio released
Mohan Babu now seems to be happier than before. It may be due to the success of Vishnu and Genelia-starrer 'Dhee', from his own banner, Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures. The audio releasing function of the banner's latest film 'Raju Bhai', too, witnessed several surprises. What was more surprising was Mohan Babu inviting producer K S Rama Rao as a guest for the function. He bitterly criticised him by repeatedly referring to him as 'waste fellow' during the diamond jubilee celebrations of Telugu cinema. And, moreover, NTR Jr, who surprised everybody with his slim figure, entertained the audience with jokes. And another interesting thing is comedian Sunil has lent his voice for a song in the film and the entire song was also shot on him. Mohan Babu’s son Manoj and Sheila play hero and heroine in the film 'Raju Bhai'. It is directed by Surya Kiran. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music. The function was also attended by Prabhas and directors SS Rajamouli, B Gopal and Vijaya
Bhaskar.
Selva Raghavan gets a pat
Venkatesh's latest flick, 'Adavari Matalaku Arthale Verule' (AMAV), is being received well. Venkatesh plays a youngster who fails to secure a job for 10 years and entertains the audience with his trademark wit. Ask the film’s director Selva Raghavan as to what he has to say about the film, "I am simply amazed by the performances of Trisha and Venkatesh in the film," he says. And the director finds a film-maker in Venkatesh. "Venkatesh has contributed to the script a lot. I hope one day he will direct films," he opines. AMAV is a hilarious one except a couple of scenes that make you cry. But the director was criticised in the past for the themes in films like '7/G Brindavan Colony' and 'Dhoolpet', as they were stated to be spoiling the youth. The director asks the youth 'watch a movie as a movie and don’t apply it to your real life'. The director's ultimate aim in life is making a film like K Viswanath’s 'Sagara Sangamam' which he watched more than 50 times.
Dasari turns 61
