After receiving good response for his performance in the film 'Rakhi', now NTR Jr is busy with his latest film 'Yamadonga' in the direction of S S Rajamouli. It is a known fact that the two films, 'Student No 1' and 'Simhadri' were blockbusters. As usual, the film circle is talking about the film. Mohan Babu plays Lord Yama in this hilarious socio-fantasy. Declining to divulge the details, the hero says, "The film would be such that it provides wholesome entertainment for that two-and-a-half hours." The film is being shot at Ramoji Film City. It has music scored by M M Keeravani. Mamta Mohandas and Priyamani play the female lead.
M S Reddy's one major regret
Mallemala Sundararami Reddy, popularly known as M S Reddy, has been selected for the prestigious government award 'Raghupathi Venkayya'. A writer, he has produced about 25 films so far, starting with the dubbed film 'Kannepilla'. 'Kalachakram', 'Kalyanaveena', 'Muthyala Pallaki', 'Ramabanam', 'Ekalavya', 'Srikrishna Vijayam', 'Uriki Upakaram' and 'Ramayanam' are some of the films he has produced. Despite producing these many films, he regrets not being able to release 'Andam'. "Unlike other businesses, success in films depends on collective effort. I might have lost the chance of making money by entering into films but I have had the chance of moving closely with many literary greats in the industry," says the producer proudly. His son Shyamprasad Reddy is currently producing a film titled 'Arundhati' with Anushka in the lead. The writer and producer feels that though awards are the scale of measuring one's talent and character, they are not the only means.
Saikumar made all the difference
The film 'Evadaithe Nakenti' has given Rajasekhar a much needed hit. Moreover, besides Rajasekhar's powerful performance as a minister, it is Saikumar’s dubbing for the actor which has helped the film get revenues. Accepting the fact, actor Rajasekhar said he owes a lot to Saikumar's mother. "Saikumar's mother asked him to dub for me. This she wrote in his diary. She passed away recently. Saikumar came to me and showed the diary. He promised to dub for me and the rest is history," says the actor. The actors-couple couldn’t ask for more as the success of the film came at the right time. Probably, it is the right time for the actor to cash in on the success and plan to script another success.
Farzana's next film
It was Farzana who got instant recognition through the film 'Bhagyalakshmi Bumper Draw'. Though producers are making a beeline for her, the glamour girl is in no hurry to decide. Currently starring in Allari Naresh's 'Seema Sastry' in a typical Brahmin girl role, she is confident the film will do well, and says that she has a lot of scope to perform. Being a choreographer, she likes to dance, in particular Andhra folk dances. Farzana is ultimately bowled over by sarees which she learnt to drape during the shooting of her first film 'Bhagyalakshmi Bumper Draw'. I love to wear sarees, discloses
Farzana.
Chiranjeevi swears by Homeopathy
Though in his early 50s, Megastar Chiranjeevi competes well with any other younger hero be it looks or in matching steps. Even many of his co-stars compliment that he dances well. Can you guess the secret behind his charm? It is his belief in Homeopathy. Any doubt? The Megastar himself revealed it at a function recently. "When I got married to Surekha, I started taking advice from her father Allu Ramalingayya, who is a Homeopathy doctor. As I was in a dilemma after he passed away, two young doctors, Akthar Khan Wallah and Rajasekhar, met me and there onwards I have had no reason to complain," said the actor during the inauguration of a Homeopathy clinic in
Hyderabad.
Uday Kiran struggles to stay afloat
Uday Kiran who hogged the limelight as the would-be son-in-law of Megastar Chiranjeevi has almost virtually been forgotten by movie folk. His last release 'Abaddam', in legendary director K Balachander’s direction, went unnoticed. But still the actor feels the film has taught him many things. "Working in the film was like getting a degree from a reputed institute," he says. Uday Kiran, who is presently doing 'Viyyalavari Kayyalu', for Lagadapati Sridhar’s Larsco Entertainments, says he was never deprived of offers but the only thing was there was no right offer to proceed on. Neha Jhulka plays the heroine in the film and Satti Babu wields the megaphone.
