There was much speculation as to who was going to don the lead role in director Raghavendra Rao's devotional film on Panduranga. Initially, Nagarjuna’s name was heard and later on Rajinikant and now finally it is clear. Balarkrishna, who is presently busy with his film 'Maharadhi', will be appearing in the lead role. Titled 'Ranga – Panduranga', the film is arousing much curiosity among the movie-goers as the director has already directed spriritual marvels like 'Annamayya' and 'Sri Ramadasu' in the past. The director himself will produce the film under his banner R K Film Associates. As usual M M Keeravani is set to score music for the film. The film will be launched once Balakrishna completes shooting for his
'Maharadhi'.
Telugu Don is ready for launch
After 'Boss', Nagarjuna's latest venture 'Don', in the direction of Raghava Lawrence, will be launched on January 18. Moreover, Nag, who is known to encourage newcomers, has given his nod to Abburi Ravi, who did an excellent work in providing dialogues for 'Bommarillu'. Raghava Lawrence, the choreographer-turned-director with Nag's 'Mass' will turn music director with the film besides wielding megaphone. M L Kumar Chowdary who earlier produced 'Vikramarkudu' is going to produce this film.
Kammula looking for fresh faces
After springing surprises with his first two films 'Anand' and 'Godavari', Sekhar Kammula is here again. For his next film titled 'Happy Days', the filmmaker has launched a hunt for fresh faces. "The film will have college backdrop. I want to change the perception of people towards the youth with the film," says the director. He is looking for four boys and an equal number of girls. However, he emphasises that beauty is not the only criteria for the aspiring actors of the film. He assures that this third one will also be a trendsetter.
Okkadunnadu audio release soon
Chandrasekhar Yeleti is another filmmaker who is in his third venture after his first two successful films 'Aithe' and 'Anukokunda Oka Roju'. The director likes to be away from media attention. His latest film 'Okkadunnadu' has wound up the talkie part. Starring Gopichand, the film is an action-packed drama. Bollywood actor Mahesh Manjrekar is set to steal the hearts of the audience with his terrific performance as a villain. Neha Jhulka is the heroine. Its audio is scheduled to be released on January 15. Cherry is the producer while M M Keeravani is the music director. The film is all set to be released in the second week of February.
A Sivaji film gets ready
Sivaji and Deepa-starrer, 'Nikki and Neeraj', has completed its shooting and is ready for release. "The shooting has been completed and the first copy is ready. The audio will be released on February 16 and the film on February 2," revealed director Purna Adapala. "Compared to his earlier films, Sivaji looks different and his performance too will be appreciated. The highlight of the film is Vandemataram Srinivas' music," he adds. Veteran lyricist Veturi has penned all the five songs. The film is a family entertainer set in the backdrop of Vizag and is all about the importance of life than love. The film is the second one for actress Deepa after her 'Mayajalam'. Meghan Eyyunni, an NRI, is producing the film under Kalpatharu Movie Makers banner.
