Glamorous Nisha in Tollywood
We know Nisha Kothari as Ram Gopal Varma's 'James' girl but very few know that she got noticed by Ramu through her Tamil film 'Jay Jay'. After 'Shiva 2006', this glamour girl has her hands full with films like 'Dil Diya', 'Go' and 'Darna Zaroori Hai'. Now the latest news is Nisha has set her eyes on Tollywood. A B.Sc. graduate from Delhi, the actress says, "I don't want to confine myself to just glamorous roles. But though one does performance-oriented roles, it is essential to look good on screen." However, Nisha says that she is proud to have worked with top directors like Mahesh Bhatt and Ramu. Though Nisha terms Ramu as her mentor and guide and takes his opinion in choosing films, she wants to work with all directors. We have to wait and see whether Nisha, a fan of Sridevi, can impress the southern audience if she makes her full-fledged foray into Telugu films.
Genelia is back with a bang
With the success of her latest film 'Bommarillu', the bubbly, young and energetic girl, Genelia, is back with a vengeance. Genelia, who made her debut with 'Boys' in Telugu, could impress audiences consequently with her performance in films like 'Satyam' and 'Sye'. "The success of 'Bommarillu' has come at the right time for me. There are different phases in an actor's life and I never get disappointed over failures but take everything in a positive spirit looking at the future," says this 'Boys' girl. Genelia, who was seen getting emotional at several functions of 'Bommarillu', says, "Language has never been a barrier to me. Anushka to pair with Gopichand
After her glamourous role in 'Vikramarkudu', Anushka the 'Super' girl and once Yoga teacher, is to pair with Gopichand. After the success of his debut film 'Lakshmi', the Venkatesh-starrer, Nallamalupu Srinivas is all set to produce the venture. Sri Vas, who earlier worked with director Krishna Vamsi, will be the director. For Gopichand, who has earned a name as mass hero with his previous blockbuster 'Ranam', it will be another mass entertainer. The film which will be on the floors the second week of November, will have music scored by Ramana Gogula and with Peter Haynes composing the fights.
Allari Naresh in hilarious role
Gopi (Goda Meeda Pilli), the film with Allari Naresh, Jagapathi Babu and Aarti Chabria in lead roles, is undergoing shooting at a brisk pace. Several fight sequences have been shot on Jagapathi Babu, who is appearing in a special role, in and around Hyderabad recently. Except for songs, the film, directed by writer-turned-director Janardhan Maharshi, has completed its shooting. "The title itself tells about my character. After 'Kithakithalu', this is another wholesome hilarious character for me," says Allari Naresh. Sai Kiran also has a special role in this film. "Till now I did only soft roles. But in this film my role has a slice of comedy in a different style," he says. Pradeep, Gauri Munjal and Venu Madhav are the other important cast members.
The magic of two letter titles
After Pournami's average response at the box office, Prabhas' latest flick with Nayantara playing the female lead, has been titled 'Yogi'. 'Yogi' is a remake of Kannada flick 'Jogi' and is being directed by V V Vinayak. Though it is not officially announced, the director is said to have given his nod for the title as he likes two-letter titles. His earlier two letter titles like 'Dil', 'Adi' and 'Lakshmi' have been commercially successful ventures. The shooting for the film is going on at a brisk pace and is expected to be released for Sankranti. Kadapa Mayor P Ravindra Reddy is producing the film. This is the first time that actor Prabhas and director V V Vinayak have come together.
