 'Meiporul'
is being projected as the first Tamil film to be shot entirely
in America. And the cast too has been selected from the US,
among them being professional doctors and engineers.
The film is produced and directed by the duo of J Nattikumar
and Girish Bala, with Girish playing the hero too.
 Most
of the cast and the crew of 'Meiporul' are based in San
Fransisco, and this film is a joint effort by them to produce a
Tamil film with talent from among them.
Apart from Girish Bala, the cast includes
Narayanan, Anusha, Suren and Rani, all trying their potential in
acting for the first time.
The story being based in the US, the
locations chosen are in and around San Fransisco. The plot is a
thriller, with action, suspense and mystery weaved in.
 Nattikumar
pens the story and the dialogue, apart from being one of the
co-directors of the film.
Making his debut as a cinematographer is
Girish Eldridge who has had some experience in assisting behind
the camera in some films in America.
For composing the film’s songs, the team has
signed up Tamil film's popular music director Bharadwaj.
