After the appreciation he’s got for his performance in ‘Varalaaru’, Ajith’s career is on the rise. The actor has on the floors ‘Alwar’ and ‘Kireedam’. ‘Alwar’ would be his next film to hit the theaters and it has him paired with Asin, their second teaming up together after
‘Varalaaru’.
The film is produced by Mohan Natarajan who returns to the field after a long gap since the time he produced the Vijay–Shalini-starrer ‘Kannukkul
Nilavu’.
In ‘Alwar’ Ajith plays a ward boy who has a soft word for everyone in the hospital, till circumstances make him take to violence. The film is scripted and directed by debutant Chella who had apprenticed under director S J
Surya.
As for the title, the director says that ‘Alwar’ means a man who does not fear anything, is good to those who are good to him, and a bane to those who cross his path. Asin plays a vivacious college girl who stays at he grandmother’s house.
The comedy is taken care of by Vivek who plays a word boy and a friend of Ajith. The film has Pasupathi, Manorama, Pithamagan Madhavan and Sathya in crucial roles.
Some scenes were shot at the Ramojirao Film City in Hyderabad, where a huge set of a hospital was erected. A fight scene was also shot there, where the hero is confronted by some rowdies who create havoc in the hospital as they come searching for him. With stunt master Super Subbarayan guiding the actors, Ajith performed it without using any dupes.
The film has music by Srikanth Deva and cinematography by Ramesh G.
