Director K. Rajeshwar, who is directing 'Indiravizha' starring Srikanth, Namitha, Hemamalini and Ragasiya, and writer Charu Niveditha happen to be close friends. During a recent schedule of shooting of his 'Indiravizha' in Chennai, Rajeshwar reportedly called for Niveditha to come over and have a feel of how a film is getting shot.
On that particular day, sequences involving the 'hot and happening' Namitha were canned. During a break, Niveditha presented Namitha with a copy of the English version of her novel 'Zero Degree'. Till that moment, neither Rajeshwar, who was directing Namitha first time for this film, nor Niveditha hardly had any idea about Namitha's literary instincts.
But, when Namitha started harping on the many literary novels that she had read in the past, both were left dumbfounded. Niveditha and Namitha then went on to converse in spotless English for an hour or so, much to the surprise of the Unit members. Namitha's prowess in English and her interest in literary matters is surely an added 'asset' to many of her existing 'assets' indeed.
Namitha is also unlike many of our actresses who 'pretend' to get lost in English novels during the breaks in shooting; that she can actually read them and discuss about them is quite interesting indeed!
