Captain Vijaykanth is donning a new avatar as director. The veteran actor, who has completed 150 films, is all set to turn director with a film that is said to have many political connotations.
The film will be titled as 'Vridhagiri' after the presiding deity of a central Tamil Nadu temple town and railway junction Vriddhachalam. He will also act in the film.
It may be recalled that Vijaykanth was elected legislator from Vriddhachalam constituency in 2006 in his debut contest.
The actor cum politician would play an honest cop in his directorial debut and would mouth dialogues full of political innuendos.
