'Kadhal' Sandhiya is upset about the fact that her new film 'Mahesh, Sandhiya Matrum Palar' has been renamed as 'Mahesh, Saranya Matrum Palar'. The director apparently thought it improper to feature the name of his leading actress in the title and has gone in for a change of title. This has greatly upset Sandhiya.

The most irritating factor about the change of title, as far as Sandhiya is concerned, is that Saranya Mohan (who played Nayantara's sister in 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini') plays an important role in the film. Sandhiya is apprehensive that people might thing that it was Saranya, and not she, who plays the lead role in the film.



Director Ravi says that the title wasn't finalized when Sandhiya and Saranya were signed up to act in the film. He also has another interesting piece of information to offer: the name of the character Sandhiya plays in the film is 'Saranya'. Ravi feels that Sandhiya hasn't been sidelined at all and needn't feel betrayed.
