If you think that the entry of the corporate houses in to Tamil film production will reduce hazards over payment modes and call sheets, think twice. Navya Nair has charged that the Moser Bear, the producer of her film 'Raman Thediya Seethai', hasn't yet paid her the fee despite the fact that shooting has been completed some time back.
Navya says that Moserbaer first booked her for the lead role in the film 'Aval Peyar Thamizharasi'. As an expression of gratitude, Navya acted out the 'guest' role in the film 'Raman Thediya Seethai', another Moserbaer production, without demanding any fee. Navya alleges that Moserbaer used up the call-sheets given by her for 'Aval Peyar...' for the film 'Raman...' without consulting her.
Irritated, she quit 'Aval Peyar....' and now says that Moserbaer has to pay her for the role she played in 'Raman.....'. She says that she didn't attend the audio-launch of 'Raman...' as she felt she only had a small role in the film.
Meanwhile, an official of Moserbaer has said that Navya was paid Rs.5 lakhs for taking part for four days of shooting for 'Raman Thediya Seethai'. "It is indeed surprising that Navya has said that she hasn't been paid by us. As far as we are concerned, we have paid her the due amount and there is nothing pending" says the official.
Which is the real picture is yet to be known. Keep watching this space for updates on the issue.
