A 1,462 page handwritten Tamil Bible was consecrated at the Palayamkotti cathedral, Tirunelveli, at a special ceremony on September 3.

The Indian Bible Society officials said, "The handwritten book is a perfect copy of the original work - word by word and page by page. We have not changed even the page number."

The 17.5-inch-long book is 12 inches broad, they added.
