Duchess Utsav
'Duchess Utsav', a two-day exhibition for women entrepreneurs is being organised by Duchess Club in association with ZAKS for the third consecutive year on October 2nd and 3rd, 2004 at Hotel
Savera.
Nina Reddy, Executive Director, Hotel Savera Ltd, said, "Duchess Utsav is being showcased for the third successive year. We hope that this event will stimulate and crystallise the excellent business ideas that we know exist within every woman. We are committed to encouraging this entrepreneurial spirit wherever possible These women participating in Utsav are very talented, very enthusiastic, and dedicated entrepreneurs."
Duchess Utsav offers an opportunity to its participants and members to showcase their talent and entrepreneurial capabilities through active communication by their thought-provoking creativity and intellect. Duchess Utsav would have about 80 stalls for its members and corporate participants. The product range from which are exhibiting their products like Eatihen Symphony from Bangalore; exclusive furniture from Kolkata; Evening Bags from Pune; Contemporary Marble Atiefacts from Jaipur, Ashavalli sarees from Ahmedabad Leather hand-women bags and shoes, Textiles from Kutch and a wide variety of Designer clothes and
Jewellery.
Utsav will also have free stalls for the NGOs like Sahaayika, National Association of the Blind, Tanker Foundation (kidney research), Tejas Foundation and Spastic Society of Tamil
Nadu.
The highlight of the Utsav is the, 'Achievers Award', which would be handed over to the women who have made a difference in their lives. This award ceremony will be held at 10.30 a.m on 2nd October 2004 at the same venue. The event will also have Jewellery designing competition on 2nd October and 'Just Desserts', a cooking competition, (cooking without fire) on 3rd October at 3 p.m. The exhibition will remain open for public from 10 a.m. to 9 pm on 2nd and 3rd of October.
The Duchess Club launched on January 28 2002, consists of 300 members from all walks of life who come together with the common goal of learning and sharing. It has a motley crew of women aboard -- homemakers, teachers, managers and performing artists. Most members are in the age group of 25 to 50.
