Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation is
conducting its 'Bala Vidhwan Bhavani' on January 1, 2008, from 6
a.m. to 8 a.m.
The bhavani is a 'holy walk' "to perpetuate the
tradition and culture of the musical legends".
A note from the organisers, The Mylapore Trio, S
Amarnath, S Surendranath and S Aparna, says that the walk will start
from
Mylapore Kapaleeswarar temple (near Rasi shop) and go around the
four mada streets, singing bhajanas and namavalis.
"Let us start the New Year on an auspicious note.
Let us dress up in traditional south Indian attire," they say.
Balas, yuvas, elders and those from music
institutions are welcome to the walk which will be conducted for the
sixth consecutive year.
