Ford
India unveiled in Chennai its new sports utility vehicle - the
all-new Endeavour.
The new Ford Endeavour sports a new and more
powerful 2.5 litre Duratorq engine with Ford's proprietary TDCi
technology, authentic evolutionary SUV exteriors and plush new
interiors combining style, safety and comfort.
Unveiling the new Ford Endeavour, Arvind
Mathew, managing director and president, Ford India, said, "The
new Endeavour is a supreme combination of the latest in vehicle
engineering and legendary 'Built Ford Tough' ruggedness that is
a hallmark of Ford SUVs across the globe."
The new Ford Endeavour featuring turbo-diesel
common rail injection (TDCi) engine delivers 143 PS peak power
and delivers astounding torque of 330 Nm for faster acceleration
and better drivability.
Priced at Rs 14,72,000 (ex-showroom, Chennai)
for the 4X2 wheel drive variant and Rs 15,62,000 (ex-showroom,
Chennai) for the true blue 4x4 wheel drive enthusiasts, Ford
India is also launching a Limited Edition variant packed with
additional features priced at Rs 15,52,000 (ex-showroom,
Chennai). "The Ford Endeavour has already been
the highest selling premium SUV in the Indian market. The new
Endeavour with its commanding road presence, comfort,
flexibility, safety and robustness, is the ideal action SUV for
the modern family," Mathew added. Scott
McCormack, vice president, marketing, sales and service, Ford
India, said, "Today's premium SUV customer wants more power,
more comfort and great driving experience from his vehicle - in
short, an SUV that is ready for action. The new Ford Endeavour
offers 28 per cent more power and 22 per cent torque over the
previous model. Ford's proprietary Duratorq technology now makes
the new Endeavour extremely fuel efficient."
The new Endeavour will be available in
colours such as Panther Black, Diamond White and three brand new
colours - Jeans Blue, Brush Steel and Mystic Wine.
"With over 75 per cent changes over the previous model, the new
Ford Endeavour provides a vehicle that adapts endlessly to our
customer's needs. Whether he's travelling in inner-city Chennai
to an important business meeting, transporting his family in
absolute safety, exploring the outdoor greens, or enjoying a
well-deserved holiday with his children, the new Ford Endeavour
will get him there in the lap of luxury," McCormack comments.
The new Ford Endeavour boasts a host of upgrades over the

at 1800 rpm and power of 143 PS at 3500 rpm

The new Ford Endeavour sports ABS with
electronic brake force distribution and incorporates additional
safety features such as increased diameter of the shock
absorbers for better control and handling in all driving
conditions, repairable breakaway front bumper system that
minimises collision impact and maximises safety, passive
anti-theft system (PATS) and an anti-theft alarm add to the
owner's peace of mind. The Limited Edition
