S. Murali Krishnan
This percussionist has been around for the last 7 years in the light music scene and has been playing fusion for the last 5 years. He is a disciple of Padmashree Umayalpuram. K.Sivaraman for the carnatic styles of rhythm. Murali has played for many television shows and has also accompanied Shankar Mahadevan, Malgudi Shuba, Srinivas, S.Janaki, P.Susheela to name a few. In the fusion music circuit, he has played with TVG, Umayalpuram Sivaraman, Vikku Vnayakaram, Late Harishankar, V.V.Ravi, Kadri Gopalnath, Valayapatti Malarvannan, and more. He has been playing the drums right from the age of 12. His inspiration was derived from Trilok Gurthu and Sivamani. Murali has also conducted lecture demonstrations on Indian styles of Rhythm called Jus Drums in a few schools in Chennai. He is fond of collecting percussion instruments and has a large collection for himself. He is known for his creativity and showmanship; all he needs is a pair of sticks and on any surface he would be able to make music for your ears.
Flute: Dyeaneshwar
He learnt the basic from his own father, but his formal training started under
Shri. Guna Singh. Dyeaneshwar has been playing the flute for the last 20 years. His inspiration was none other than the great Flautist
Shri. Hariprasad Chaurasia. Dyeaneshwar has been attending all the concerts of the great maestro whenever he gets an opportunity to do so. Also he was invited to join the Chaurasia school of music, but was unable to join due to his
domestic responsibilities. Mr.Dyeaneshwar has played for and was also closely associated with the great maestro Ilayaraja in his early days.
Mrudangam: Uma Shankar
An accompanying artiste who plays for carnatic vocals and instruments. He has played with many top names in the carnatic industry and is very closely associated with a few folk music groups of Chennai. He has played in many stage shows and recordings.
Strings: A.R.Anand
Anand has been in the music scene for the last ten years. He has been playing the guitar for light, western, as well as fusion concerts. For the past 5 years he also been on the violin, playing some melodious tunes for great gatherings in Chennai. His recent addition is the Mandolin. He plays it with so much ease that one will really wonder if he never took any training. Anand has accompanied famous artistes like
Dr. Balamuralikrishna, Vikku Vinayakaram, Subash Chandran, Thiruvarur Bhaktavathsalam, Valayapatti Malarvannan to name a few. He also recently played with Sivamani for his forthcoming album.
