Raageshwari & Ms. Country Club Beauty Pageant |
 The country Club, one of the most prestigious clubs in the city, organized a live concert of the MTV - VJ and pop artiste Raageshwari along with the Miss Country Club Beauty Pageant at the Nehru Indoor Stadium on 16th June, 2001 at 8 p.m.
The show started with some hiccups but the 'Duniya' girl had everyone on their toes with some fast paced foot-tapping numbers. She and her team rocked the stadium with a medley of R.D. Burman's hits beginning with `Aa dheke zara,' `Kisme kitna hai dum' to `Jaane jaan dound tha phir raha haun tumhe'. She then ran into the audience with the microphone insisting that they sing along with her. Her pulsating numbers 'Is haath se de, us se le, yeh hi hai pyar ka dastur' and Kudiyan Punjab di.' had everyone swinging and dancing merrily. A.R. Rahman's 'Osaka Moraya' from the movie 'One Two ka Four' was also sung with a chorus from the audience.

Then began the beauty pageant with fashion rounds in which young designers showcased their designs. In the semi-final round the judges threw open their questions to select the finalists. All the finalists were asked the same question in the final round and the question was: 'If you win the Miss Country Club title and become the cultural ambassador of the club, what will you do best for the club?' The finalists had to write the answers on a pad as done in Miss India pageants. This was followed by a fashion show choreographed by Imran Khan in which male and female models took part.
 There were many titles to be won that evening. Miss Lisa won the 'Best Hair' title, Miss Anchal - 'Miss Best Smile', Miss Aishwarya was 'Miss Best Catwalk', Miss Shweta - 'Miss Best Personality' and Miss Nisha won 'Miss Beautiful Skin'. Miss Country Club Title was won by Miss Sharmili, a second year hotel management student; the I Runner-up was Miss Lisa doing her medicine and the II Runner-up was Miss Candice, a receptionist. The captivating show came to an end at 11:30 p.m.
