 Anna varsity relief fund
 A relief fund has been set up by Anna University to help families affected by the recent tsunami and earthquake. Vice-Chancellor, Dr E Balagurusamy, has stated that Anna University wishes to join the national effort by raising funds in aid of the victims of this tragic event.
He has urged college managements, staff, students, parents and public to contribute liberally to the fund. Staff and students of Anna University have contributed Rs 25 lakh to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Relief Fund initially.
