 KRMMC college day
 The Kumari Rani Meena Muthiah College (KRMMC) celebrated its college day in Chennai recently.
Dr M S Palanichami, the Vice-Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Open University, who was the chief guest of the programme, suggested that students could take up correspondence courses even while undertaking regular degree courses.
He released the journal of the year, 'The Reach', a compilation of the papers presented by the lecturers.
Dr Palanichami, releasing the monograph of Srinivasa Ramanujan, 'The Man Who Knew Infinity', said he was proud to have been given the honour of releasing it.
Kumari Rani Meena Muthiah, the secretary and correspondent of the college, received the first copy of the journal.
Janani Rangarajan, the college union president, received the monograph.
The chief guest gave away the best performance awards in academics to the students based on last year's university results.
