 TIES 2005
 Tamil Nadu Inter Engineering Sports, called the TIES, was started with the aim of promoting and encouraging sports and games among the students of engineering and technical institutes in the state of Tamil Nadu. Adhiyaman College of Engineering, Hosur, takes pride in hosting the 23rd TIES meet.
The Principal, Dr. Dwaraganath, said, "Today’s students are tomorrow’s stalwarts, opinion leaders, corporate heads and trend setters whose sound mind is nurtured in a sound body, towards which this TIES gives an opportunity to redefine themselves".
TIES 2005 is scheduled between 15th and 27th of February. The first three days are exclusively for women.
Of the 250 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu, 91 colleges have already registered and confirmed their participation. The college expects about 150 colleges with over 25,000 students participating in the various events.
Rs.1 crore has been set apart for the preparation of ground facilities, accommodation, boarding, transportation, health centre, officials, decoration, prize distribution, spectacular opening and closing ceremony. This mega event is scheduled to be held at the college premises of Adhiyaman College of engineering.
