than 27,000 Indian students are currently studying in the UK.South India alone
accounts for 34% of the total students visas issued in India. The British
Council is organizing a seminar on "Student Visas" for the benefit of all
students who have secured admission from UK institutions for the
September/October 2008 intake. The seminar is on Tuesday, 10th June 2008 at the
British Council from 4pm to 5 pm. The seminar will be useful for those who are
in the process of applying for student visas and also for those who are planning
to go to the UK in future for higher studies.
Mr Ryan Bennett, Entry Clearance Officer, British Deputy High Commission will
brief the students on the latest student visa procedures including the Academic
Technology Approval Scheme (ATAT), Biometrics, student Visitor visa. Trusted
Partners promoting UK education, useful documents to submit information on work
during end after studies, as well as clear any other doubts. The briefing
provides as an opportunity to interact with the Visa officer and obtain clear
guidance on the student visa process.
