These are some of the questions are that are bound to come to the fore as the Tamil theatre group Pareeksha unfolds its play with a contemporary title 'Ahimsai Arasi Mudhalaam Muniyamma alias Vattam' raises issues relating to power, role of men and women, gender equity - all laced with typical Brechtian alienation and humour.

Writer-director Gnani presents the Tamil version of Brecht's famous 'Caucasian Chalk Circle' to address contemporary concerns.
