Master batsman Sachin Tendulkar has pulled a hamstring muscle and is doubtful for the seven match one-day series against the West Indies beginning on November 6. Tendulkar pulled the muscle during his marathon knock of 176 on the last day of the third and final cricket Test against the West Indies at the Eden Gardens here today.
BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya said the national selectors would take a final decision whether Tendulkar will be out of action for the first three matches or for the entire series after assessing his medical report.
He further said that Tendulkar might be replaced by Dinesh Mongia in the one day team, which the selectors have already picked up for the first three one-dayers. |
