TVS Cup One Day Trination Series

TVS Motor Company, India's premier two-wheeler manufacturer today launched the TVS Cup One Day International (ODI) Trination Series between India, Australia and New Zealand, with the symbolic unveiling of the TVS Cup. At a press conference , Harish Krishnamachar, Vice President, Marketing, TVS Motor Company unveiled the glittering TVS Cup alongside Indian Skipper, Rahul Dravid, and New Zealand Skipper Stephen Fleming. The TVS Cup will be awarded to the winner of the ODI series that will be played between the three nations. The first match of the ODI series will be played here tomorrow.

TVS Motor Company will also present a trophy and a cheque of Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand only) to each 'Victor (Man) of the Match' and a sum of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) along with a trophy to the 'Victor (Man) of the Series'. After their immensely successful backing of the International series between India and the West Indies, and more recently the domestic Challenger and Irani series, TVS Motor Company has now signalled its intentions to play a significant role in the game of cricket in India. This is the second time that the company is backing a cricket series in the capacity of a Title Sponsor. The series will begin today at Chennai and then move on to Gwalior, Faridabad, Mumbai, Pune, Cuttack, Guwahati, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The TVS Cup design is unique. The form has been kept extremely simple and is made out of stainless steel with a natural finish. It is made of solid steel signifying the solidity of the combined efforts of the team. The design creates a visual illusion of the team represented as a single individual reaching out to embrace victory.

Promotions at all cities hosting the matches will give everyone a chance to be a part of the fun filled experience surrounding this event. TVS customers will get an opportunity to participate in 'pitch on wheels', which is a 'hit wicket get ticket promotion" which began on October 19. 'Pitch on wheels' is a promotional activity wherein a vehicle promoting the match would make a round of the whole city prior to each match. The spectators at the stadium too will be treated to a whole lot of entertainment in the form of music and dance during breaks in the games. There would also be lucky draws for everyone in the stadium with TVS bikes as prizes

The Company has been backing cricket for a while now and has also been the principal sponsor for the Challenger and Irani Cup domestic tournaments.
